Isles of Scilly's highest-rated hotel
Hell Bay is the perfect dog-friendly destination amid Bryher's varied land- and seascapes.
Bryher's beaches, lanes and open heathland are wonderful for walkies, while the crystal clear waters are perfect for a spot of doggy paddle. The island's beaches are dog-friendly all year, though please follow signage and keep dogs on a lead when requested.
It's easy to bring your four-legged friend, with dogs welcome onboard the Scillonian ferry, Skybus planes and Penzance Helicopters. Our Reception team can advise on the practicalities of getting here and where's best to explore. Dogs are welcome in most eateries across Bryher and the wider archipelago, as well as on all the inter-island boats.
Well-behaved dogs and responsible owners are welcome around the hotel. Our ground-floor rooms are all dog-friendly, with a charge for up to two dogs that includes bowls, beds, blankets and towels for sandy paws. Dogs should be kept on a lead around the hotel; they're welcome in the bar and on the terrace but not in the restaurant, though a table can be set in the bar area instead. Assistance Dogs are welcome throughout the hotel free of charge.
We could just see the beach from bed. The children ran from the patio doors down to the sand. I swam. Someone had hung a makeshift hammock in the rocks above. Bryher was an immediate perfect fit for our feral family.
